Then Queen Esther said If I have found favor in your sight, O king and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition and my people at my request.Esther 7:3 AMPC
God makes those who are humble great. There’s even a song…humble yourself by the sight of the Lord, He will lift you up. Being humble doesn’t mean you are a doormat, nope, you know the secret to the Father’s heart. Humility breeds wisdom, and grants you favour with God and man. Yes, at times you may get tired of always being the one on the receiving end. The Word says we should not grow weary of doing good, at the appointed time we will reap.
Queen Esther coupled humility, wisdom, and bravery to fight for the rights of her people. She wasn’t going to let an unjust man persecute them. When given a position of power, make good use of it. Be careful that you keep God at the forefront, because you may lose everything. Ask Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4:37).
God created the whole earth and is pleased with those who are humble and fear Him. He opposes the proud. Humility gives us understanding.
“Tell the city of Zion, Look, your king is coming to you! He is humble and rides on a donkey and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”Matthew 21:5 GNB
Lord in the name of Jesus, we repent of any pride and arrogance in our hearts. Teach us to be humble, meek, and love one another. In the name of Jesus. Amen
