Markers of being a disciple 2

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV

….Still on love. Yesterday we got introduced to the first marker of being a disciple. God instructed us to love our neighbours…some scriptures even emphasize praying for your enemies. Look, when the old wineskin has been removed, you are made new. The heart is pure, the old Stoney heart is replaced with a new one, and through loving others…God applauds. Heaven rejoices.

A blood washed, veil removed, heart cleansed individual  exudes love because they are aware of God’s  great sacrifice upon their lives. They strive to live in holiness and purity.

Understand  that love is patient…God is love… God is extremely patient with us. How many times have you messed and were forgiven? Love is kind…If God was not kind, His mercies would not be fresh every morning. Even though He is a jealous God, it is justifiable jealousy as He doesn’t want His creation to worship idols, He doesn’t want to share His glory with mini man-made idols. God is the Father of humility… He loves a humble heart because it longs for Him..ask King David…

when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:21‭-‬24 NIV

Thank You Heavenly Father in the Mighty name of Jesus, for an outpouring of Your love, patience, and kindness upon my life. In the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen
