the 3 w’s

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 NIV

Forget what was said to you in the flesh, without any revelation from the Word of God. Do not dwell on the past. You have God’s  Spirit in you. Christ Jesus also left us with the Spirit of truth and that’s the only voice we should listen to.

How do we do that? By believing in the One that came to save us. The Son who has set us free by dying on the cross for our redemption. Confess Joshua 1:8, let it be your daily bread, read it out loud every morning and see God doing a new thing. Paul in Ephesians 6: 17 says we must take the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God. When it is engraved and hidden in your heart, you will see God’s  Mighty hand each day. You will run your race with vigour, endurance, and perseverance. You will find the discipline to negate all the bad things that happened in your past. They do not make you who you are. You are the most precious Child of God. A Holy Nation. A royal priesthood. The chosen generation.

The enemy has no power. He tried deceiving Jesus Christ after having spent 40 days and nights in prayer. He failed. Jesus used the Word of God to defeat him.

God made a way for Job in the wilderness.
Ooh, Father, He made a way for Ruth and Naomi.
Joseph could have left Mary for being impregnated by the Holy Spirit, but God made a way for Mary. He covered her. Shielded her.

and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.”

Luke 13:11‭-‬12 NIV

I am quite sure this woman never looked back. After 18 years, God made a way for her. Jesus healed her of infirmity that kept her crippled for such a long time. He will do it for you.

To behold this newness, humble yourself before God. Ask Him to forgive you. Request godly wisdom. Be like Paul, let the scales be removed off your eyes to see God making a way in the wilderness and quenching your thirst when you go through the desert.

let us pray

Lord, we bless Your righteous name. Thank You for the restoration and rebuilding that You are preparing us for. We bless Your Mighty name. In the name of Jesus. Amen
