the power of collaboration

“So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians.”

1 Kings 5:6 NIV

There is power in unity. Being united puts us in a position to raise disciplined children. God loves unity…it is even mentioned in Psalm 133 that blessings flow when we are united. King Hiram had pure intentions, and King Sol on the other hand possessed the greatest wisdom. He knew that King H had the required resources and that will enable Him to complete the Lord’s house.

As God’s disciples, His church, we should emulate these two  Kings, work towards achieving one purpose. Ensuring that our Daddy in Heaven..yes..not the ones on earth, is greatly honored. Daddy will definitely equip us when we display a united front, building His Kingdom without any self-conceited ambitions. Being united for one purpose requires us to be of good cheer, to be humble, it requires us to be wise and love one another as Our Father loves us.

When Hiram heard Solomon’s message, he was greatly pleased and said, “Praise be to the Lord today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation.”

1 Kings 5:7 NIV

United we can build a winning nation. Buying fruits from Thabo at the corner doesn’t  lower your standards, infact you are helping him feed his family, and raise powerful leaders that will pay it forward to others.

If the 3 Hebrew boys had argued before  being thrown into a burning furnace, they wouldn’t  have survived that fire.

If Paul and Silas were not of one accors in that prison cell…they would  not have thought of singing worship songs. Each one would have pointed a finger at the other, accusing each other of bringing  the situation at hand upon their lives.

If Joseph was not in a collab with God, he would have left Mary when she fell pregnant. What would have happened to our Emmanuel, Messiah.

Be united as families
Be united at work
Be united at church

Unity is power.

today’s prayer

Lord, help us to grasp this concept of unity, work as one and build a winning nation. In the name of Jesus. Amen
